The Buffalo Bill Scenic Byway extends from the East entrance of Yellowstone National Park following the North Fork of the Shoshone River, through the Shoshone National Forest and ends at the forest boundary, however, the beauty of this drive doesn't stop there. Enjoy the view all the way from the East entrance of the Park to the Buffalo Bill Reservoir and dam right outside of Cody. Teddy Roosevelt referred to this drive from the Park entrance to Cody as "the most scenic 50 miles in America".

You will be astounded by the view of Sunlight Basin and Dead Indian Summit (elevation 8060 ft) from the Dead Indian Overlook in the Shoshone National Forest. Visit the location of the flight of Chief Joseph and his band of Nez Perce. Learn more about the history of Chief Joseph along the way. This is certainly a ride to remember!
