The pages of Cody & Beyond celebrate the history and culture of the Bighorn Basin with thoughtful, honest and well-balanced editorial on local issues complemented by stunning regional photography. Each issue provides a glimpse into the complex character of Cody and the characters who call Cody home.

This magazine is sure to grace the coffee tables of both residents and visitors to the Cody area. The annual magazine hits the streets in early May each year to mark the beginning of the tourism season, and is distributed free of charge throughout the Basin and surrounding states.

We are committed to finding top-notch writing, photography and artwork to reflect the unique qualities of Cody and the surrounding area. The pages celebrate the history and culture of the Big Horn Basin and the ever changing character of our area.

Born the Red Star Camp in the winter of 1936-37, Sleeping Giant Ski Area officially opened in 1938, and is one of America's oldest ski areas. Today we operate under Yellowstone Recreations Foundation as a 501(c)(3) non profit ski area.

We have a unique terrain park, twice the vertical from the old days, challenging tree skiing & boarding, a carpet for those just starting out, and all of this just 3 miles from Yellowstone National Park.

There is a real sense of family here, with lots of stories from yesteryear. If the uncrowded slopes don't convince you, then let all the spectacular wildlife you see when you drive up from Cody do the honors!
